Reuben Guttman is a founding member of Guttman Buschner LLP (GB). His legal practice involves complex litigation and class actions. He has tried and/or litigated claims involving fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, environmental compliance, antitrust, business interference and other common law torts or statutory violations. Mr. Guttman serves as a mediator and arbitrator in complex commercial, class actions, finance, employment, civil rights, business and health care related disputes.
Mr. Guttman has successfully litigated a wide variety of high-profile/high dollar cases in the pharmaceutical, health care, and industrial arenas.
He is co-author of Pretrial Advocacy (NITA/Wolters Kluwer 2021), a chapter author of Remote Advocacy (NITA/2020); a co-author of the LEXIS/NEXIS False Claims Act Practice Guide (2025), a co-author of the US ex Rel Rodriguez v Hughes False Claims Act case file (NITA 2016); a co-chapter author of Conflict Resolution and Public Policy (Bloomsbury Publishing 1990); Modern Trial Advocacy (Lubet, Lore 5th Ed.), jury trial demo argument for CD accompanying text; chapter author, Environmental Management in Healthcare Facilities (W.B Saunder 1998). He has written more than 200 articles including law journal publications and regular commentary for Law360 and the Global Legal Post.
Mr. Guttman is an Adjunct Professorial Instructor at the American University School of Public Affairs where he teaches Equal Protection and Civil Rights.
He has been a Senior Fellow and Adjunct Professor at the Emory University School of Law Center for Advocacy and Dispute Resolution and has been a Team Leader for Emory Law School’s Kessler-Eidson Trial Techniques Program. He served on the Emory Law School Dean’s Advisory Board and received the Emory Law School Alumni Service Award in 2015. He is a founder of and has been Senior Advisor to the Emory Corporate Governance and Accountability Review (ECGAR), and a national faculty member of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. Mr. Guttman has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University School of Law. He has taught law in China and Mexico. He was named a Health Law MVP by Law360 in 2014.
